A New Feature
We're debuting a new feature in Wednesday's paper, a weekly feature called "The Next Level" that will highlight one of the Washington area's elite college sports prospects.
The debut is about Seneca Valley lineman Donald Langley, who has gone from mid-level prospect to top recruit after posting sensational numbers at a spring combine. Langley visited Tennessee this past weekend and said his official visit to Knoxville made the Volunteers the team to beat.
"I've been to Maryland games, but nothing compares" to Tennessee's game against Florida, Langley said. "The tailgating, everything. I've never been to a game like that. ... 110,000 people, their campus, their facilities, the girls, everything was the best."
Langley plans visits to Michigan State and Texas A&M and hopes to travel to Oklahoma as well. Penn State is among Langley's 42 scholarship offers, but Langley said his interest in the Nittany Lions has waned.
