More Knight Time

Ballou linebacker Romale Tucker has committed to play for Virginia, Knights assistant coach Todd Amis said yesterday.

Tucker, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound, outside linebacker also considered Syracuse, Illinois and North Carolina, Amis said. He had visited Virginia twice, including once last month, and called the Cavaliers coaching staff on Sunday to inform them of his decision.

He is the third Ballou senior to make a college commitment, joining lineman Lamar Milstead (North Carolina) and running back Dwan Thornton (Kent State).
