Wright's a Hoya
Two-time All-Met guard Chris Wright of St. John's today announced he has committed to Georgetown.
I'm not sure which was more amusing:
1) St. John's Coach Paul DeStefano, in front of a few TV cameras and an assortment of Wright's friends and family, saying: "I'm more nervous now than before a DeMatha game."
2) After Wright announced his choice, as a St. John's assistant coach put a Georgetown trash can basketball hoop over a backdrop for Wright to toss in a Georgetown basketball, DeStefano chimed in: "Even though Chris has a lot of points to score for St. John's this year, we're going to let him score his first two points for Georgetown."
