Around the Recruiting Dial

Some recruiting odds and ends among the snow and ice:

Here's another columnist who thinks the while recruiting game has gotten way out of whack.

Meantime, plenty of college basketball coaches likely will find their way to UDC on March 7-8 for a four-team prep school tournament featuring Patterson (N.C.), Bridgeton Academy from Maine and Notre Dame Prep of Fitchburg, Mass. Plenty of top talent will be there, including former All-Met Mike Beasley, who now plays for Notre Dame and has signed with Kansas State.

Some recruiting news from the Frederick area. Also, Springbrook basketball player Taryn Christian, a guard averaging 12.8 points, has committed to play for Northeastern.

Hope all the basketball players out there are in good shape. With all of this week's postponements, many teams are scheduled to play twice in 24 hours Friday night and Saturday.

Edit: As pointed out, here's a story on a player from T.C. Williams who is bound for Hampton.
