Austin Says He's Going to....

Wait until the last minute before making a decision.

Marvin Austin spent Tuesday night hosting USC Coach Pete Carroll. Last night it was Florida State's Bobby Bowden. North Carolina associate head coach John Blake is scheduled to come to town today to chat up the All-Met Defensive Player of the Year from Ballou High. Ah, to be the cream of the recruiting crop.

Austin last night reiterated that he won't make a decision until Wednesday, when he is set to announce his college choice at the ESPN Zone. Until then, it's a guessing game.

"I'm still thinking things over," Austin said.

The recruiting process might grow old for some, but Austin said he's enjoying being the center of attention. He told college coaches some time ago that he doesn't read text messages, so his inbox only receives a few new messages each day. And some people have his new, nonpublished home phone number, and some don't.

"Might as well" enjoy the attention, Austin said. "You only get it once."
