LB Prospect Is Torn

While most of the area's top prospects have made their college choices, Kennedy Coach Gunnary Twyner is unsure what linebacker Chimso Okoji will do tomorrow. On one hand, Okoji has offers from several BCS schools and wants to choose between Michigan State and Iowa. But Okoji took an official visit to Brown this past weekend and his parents are very interested in their son pursuing an Ivy League education.

"He obviously wants to play big-time football and is good enough to do it," Twyner said.

Okoji also took an official visit to Virginia last month, but the Cavaliers did not offer him a scholarship. He carries a 3.7 grade-point average and a 1500 SAT score, Twyner said, two stats that many colleges like as much as his 6-2, 225-pound frame.
