More for Monday

ALTHOUGH DeMATHA guard Jeff Peterson has decided to re-open his recruiting process, it doesn't mean going to Princeton is out of the question, Stags Coach Mike Jones said. In the past week, Peterson has heard mainly from schools in the A-10 and CAA and also one Big Ten school, Jones said.

"There were a lot of people, including myself, who told him it was a great opportunity to go to Princeton and in some respects, he may have felt a little pressure and didn't want to disappoint people who were in his ear," Jones said. "As time went on, he realized he needs to make sure is this what he wants to do and he realized how important the decision is."

STAR PLAYER O.J. Mayo won a temporary injunction last week that allowed him to keep playing, but now it appears the USC recruit could miss a few games.

TOP RECRUITER Mike London could be leaving Virginia to become the new coach at Old Dominion, which plans to begin fielding a team in 2009. It's late in the recruiting process, but I wonder what, if any, impact that will have on Virginia's recruiting class, many of whom were lured to Charlottesville by London.
