Signing Day Bites
It's common for players to retake classes in an attempt to raise their grade-point averages, but All-Met QB Brandon Hogan of Osbourn might be taking things to a different level. According to the Potomac News, Hogan is retaking four classes online as he attempts to meet the NCAA's minimum academic eligibility standards.
Everyone seems to think national champion Florida is getting the best recruiting class: Here's ESPN and USA Today.
Illinois has landed plenty of Washington-area players, including WR Arrelious Benn, and the NY Times reports that folks are asking questions. Illinois hired an outside law firm to investigate rumors about recruiting improprieties and found that the heresay was started by an assistant coach from another school. Naming names would be interesting, I'm sure.
