Top Recruit Gets Snowed Out!

Forestville All-Met LB Devonte Campbell was all set to announce his college choice this afternoon at school, but had to postpone until tomorrow because Prince George's County cancelled all after-school activities.

In other football news, Woodberry Forest lineman Jake Marcey of Gainesville committed to William & Mary. Gaithersburg Coach Kreg Kephart called to say that LB Josh McCants committed to Towson and LB Pierre LaFontant committed to Monmouth.

The Terrapin Times has confirmed that Devonte has chosen MD over Illinois and Tenn.

I just did a quick run thru the Terrapin Times msgboard, and did not see any confirmation of Campbell going to U-Md. Mike Farrell (or someone posing as Farrell) did say he expects that is where Campbell is going. But that is different than a confirmed commitment.

Jon, K Cavanaugh broke the news yesterday on his radio show in Baltimore. I don't know why he didn't put it on the Terp Times website.
