Wise Big Man Getting Looks
It was a busy weekend, starting with last Thursday's Prince George's County championship games that saw Largo pull off a clean sweep. I stopped by the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference tournament for a bit on Saturday and DeMatha All-Met guard Austin Freeman again showed why he is so highly regarded.
Aside from Freeman, who has signed with Georgetown, perhaps the most impressive player I saw was Wise junior Roscoe Davis, a 6-foot-11 forward. Despite playing with a glove on his left hand to protect a broken knucle sustained in a recent car accident, Davis displayed an array of skills in the Pumas' 68-64 loss to Suitland.
Davis showed he can shoot from the outside, take a defender off the dribble and maneuver in the post. He was in foul trouble most of the game - the result of two early charges - but still managed to be a presence at both ends of the court.
Davis said he is hearing from Maryland, Connecticut, Pittsburgh and Clemson, but has yet to receive any scholarship offers. He also took a recent unofficial visit to North Carolina State.
The schools "have been talking to my father," Davis said. "He hasn't told me anything lately."

Three weeks ago you said we would see your top 10 HS juniors to watch in football. Was it posted and if so, where can I find it?
