Largo Scorer Hoping for Offer

After scoring 27.5 points per game and leading Largo to the Maryland 3A semifinals, Largo forward Kwame Morgan is looking for a scholarship offer. He said Northeastern is scheduled to make a home visit today and Hampton next week.

"Hopefully something good will come out of it," Morgan said, adding that South Carolina State, Norfolk State and Old Dominion also have shown interest.

Morgan showed a knack for scoring this season, be it around the basket, in transition or with a consistent jump shot. Whether that is enough to offset being listed at 6 feet 3 and playing forward seems to be the question mark about Morgan, who said he is scheduled to retake the SAT and ACT in coming months. If he doesn't reach the NCAA-required board score, look for Morgan to go the junior college route. He said Southern Idaho and Arkansas-Fort Smith have been in contact.
