Munson Out At Tech?

It's a hot topic these days, whether former DeMatha All-Met point guard Nigel Munson will transfer from Virginia Tech, where he is slated to be the Hokies' starter this coming winter.

Stags Coach Mike Jones said he's been inundated with calls seeking answers, but said he's not in a position to provide one.

"I don't want to say one way or another," Jones said. "I don't know if he's come to a final decision."

Munson averaged three points in 11 minutes as a freshman last season, but it's believed he might want to transfer to a school closer to the Washington area, such as George Washington. However, staying in Blacksburg would make sense from a basketball standpoint, where he would have the chance to be the Hokies' starting point guard for the next three seasons, with a chance to be the leader of a solid team.
