River Hill's Campanaro Lighting It Up

River Hill RB Michael Campanaro, who promises to be one of the region's top juniors this fall, is in the midst of a whirlwind college tour. He was at Akron last Saturday and received a verbal scholarship offer, then went to Illinois on Monday and expects an offer from the Illini in the fall. At Northwestern on Tuesday, Campanaro went to camp and then went on a campus tour; Wildcats Coach Pat Fitzgerald told Campanaro a written scholarship offer will arrive on Sept. 1, the first day colleges are allowed to make formal offers to high school juniors.

Campanaro is at Notre Dame's camp today and will be at Pittsburgh on Saturday. Next week, Campanaro has stops scheduled at Maryland, Virginia and Boston College.
