A Video Worth Watching Again (And Again)

With all of the attention on the recruiting efforts of Maryland's basketball team, I thought it would be interesting to post this video from YouTube.

Let's see: Kevin Durant is a millionaire in the NBA now. Ty Lawson is at UNC. Jeff Allen is off to Virginia Tech. Greivis Vasquez (he's the one constantly waving his arms in the air) is at Maryland. And Mr. Game-Winning Shot himself, Adrian Bowie, joins the Terrapins this fall.

With recent commitments from Terrence Jennings and Sean Mosley and Chris Turner looming on the horizon, barring attrition or other movement Maryland would be out of scholarships for the 2008 senior class. Still, I don't think the Terps are done recruiting for this year.

Josh, other than what is on the Scout and Rivals pages for Chris Turner, do you know or have access to any indoemation about his game and abilities, other than I know he is supposed to be a 3-pt. shooter? What about mid-range, going to the basket, foul shooting, ball handling, passing and defense? Any information on him in that regard? I know that he is 3 stars, but apparently Gary & staff think more of him than that if they are contemplating using a scholarship for him. Thanks.

Josh,
Can you share why you don't think MD is done recruiting, even though all the scholarships would appear to be spoken for?

Don't forget that Oak Hill also had Terp Landon Milbourne in addition to Nolan Smith who will be at Duke this fall. One of the great high school basketball games in local history.

67 -- Just a hunch. Maybe someone transfers. Maybe one of these guys doesn't qualify. Maybe turner doesn't happen for some reason. It's just awful early in the overall picture to be done -- for instance, what would the terps do if a no-brainer entered the picture and said he wanted to go to Maryland? These things have a way of working out.

As for Turner, I haven't seen him play. I'm just going off what his coach and a college assistant who has seen Turner plenty have to say.
