Mason Makes A Splash
Point guard Andre Cornelius had narrowed his college choices to South Carolina, Toledo and George Mason before he took an official visit to Fairfax this past weekend. By the time he left on Saturday morning, the Charlotte native had made his decision.
"I felt like it was the best fit for me," Cornelius said. "I got along with the coaches. I had a good time. I liked the campus."
Cornelius, who is 5-10, plays at Victory Christian. He compared his play to that of Dwyane Wade, saying, "I penetrate and nobody can stop me going to the hole. If you stop that, I'll shoot threes."
Cornelius said he had heard of George Mason throughout his high school career and that the school's profile rose during its run to the 2006 Final Four.
"I want to try to get them back to the Final Four and maybe win it," Cornelius said. "I have a chance to go in and start if I work hard."

I've never even heard of this kid. Who cares if he chose George Mason. Their "time" is up. Get ready for VCU to put Mason in the dark.

Great choice Cornelius! With your floor leadership, I can see you taking us back to final four and beyond!
