Yep, Thomas to Ohio State

As anticipated, Friendly running back Lamaar Thomas tonight pledged to play football for Ohio State. Thomas said he picked the Buckeyes over Illinois after eliminating Maryland from consideration because he wanted to leave the Washington area.

"I felt real comfortable at Ohio State," Thomas said. "That's where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life."

Thomas said Ohio State recruited him to play wide receiver, but that he anticipates also playing some running back, returning kicks and possibly playing some defensive back.

"I'm happy," Thomas said. "I feel like a whole lot of weight just got off my shoulders."
