Recapping the Early Signing Period
With high schoolers making their commitments public earlier and earlier there weren't many surprises durign the early signing period for basketball that began Wednesday. Here's the list of locals that will sign or plan to sign. As for the local colleges, the Maryland men's team signed forward Augustus Gilchrist and guard Sean Mosley of Baltimore. Gilchrist, a second-team All-Met at Progressive Christian last year, plans to enroll in January. Maryland's women's team is waiting for a letter-of-intent from Demauria Lyles, a former All-Met at Riverdale Baptist now one of the nation's top junior college prospects. Virginia Tech added a pair of late recruits, including former Fairmont Heights guard Kendall Durant.

Of course it is, I blogged about it last month when G'town got its latest prized recruit. Only thing is, I was mostly linking to stories/releases and Georgetown has yet to put out a release.
