Harvey Turns Pro...

Former All-Met defensive end Derrick Harvey yesterday declared for the NFL draft, opting to skip his senior year at Florida. It's a pretty amazing story looking back. Consider that Coach Rick Houchens convinved Jared Gaither and Harvey to come out for football from the school's basketball team and now both will be in the NFL. The Raiders' star, of course, was quarterback Derrick Williams, who has had a solid career at Penn State.
