NCAA Maintains Ban on Texting
I was a little surprised by the NCAA's decision this past weekend to retain the ban on text messaging in recruiting. Not by the decision itself, as texting had gotten way out of hand. But by the whooping 240 to 65 margin that schools voted to maintain the ban at the NCAA convention in Nashville. With many coaches opposed to the ban, I expected the vote to be closer.
