Sutton Picks Up Another Offer
Apparently Maurice Sutton's quick exit from last week's loss to Gwynn Park didn't hurt his future. Largo Coach Lewis Howard reports that Boston College offered Sutton a scholarship and that Seton Hall Coach Bobby Gonzalez was impressed by what he saw from the 6-foot-11 senior. Sutton is working toward meeting the NCAA's minimum academic standards, but even if he makes the mark there is some thought that he might be better off with a year of prep school to get bigger and stronger before heading to college. Will be interesting to see what happens.
