Coach Postpones Euro Recruiting Trip for Sweet 16

Davidson Coach Bob McKillop knows how important recruiting is to his program and how difficult it can be, given Davidson's rigorous academic structure and its place as one of the smallest colleges fielding a Division I basketball program. So where did he plan to be this week? In Germany running a clinic, of course. But now Davidson is in the Sweet 16, playing Wisconsin tonight in Detroit and McKillop had to scrap that trip. The Wildcats have players from Canada, Nigeria, England, Turkey and France on their roster. They also have a supportive student body, several hundred of whom will be at tonight's game for free. Seems that the school's board of trustees offered free transportation, lodging and a ticket to the tonight's game - and possibly Sunday's - to any student who wanted as long as they replied quickly to the offer. Pretty cool, eh?
