From Averaging One Point to NCAA Stardom

More on the new sensation Joe Alexander and his road to stardom at West Virginia, including averaging one point a game during his season at Hargrave Military Academy. For those who wonder about dedication, Alexander tried to convince school officials to give him a key to the gym so he could practice at night, runs the hotel steps during roadtrips to stay in shape and sleeps three nights a week in the team locker room to be close to the court. The reward? This gem, when asked about his YouTube moment dunk on a Connecticut player in the Big East tourney:

"Are you a dunker?" Alexander asked a reporter. "Well, usually if you're on a fast break one-on-one with someone and the game is not on the line, you wait for them and dunk on their head. That's the unwritten code of dunking."
