Another Local Bound for Wake Forest
Colleague Alan Goldenbach, threatening to take over the insider, reports that H.D. Woodson All-Met Patrice Johnson came back from an official visit to Wake Forest this weekend and committed to the Demon Deacons. The 5-foot-10 senior guard plans to sign on Wednesday, the start of the five-week spring signing period.
This season, Johnson led a young, but experienced, H.D. Woodson team to its third straight D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association championship and first City Title for a DCIAA school since 2004. She was the team's most complete player, as she averaged 13.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4 steals per game.
