Sutton Picks Up Kentucky, Will Visit Soon

Add another school to the list of Largo center Maurice Sutton - and he's very interested in his latest opportunity as he picked up a scholarship offer from Kentucky last week.

Sutton, who is 6 feet 11 and quite athletic, plans to visit the Lexington campus during his trip to play in the Derby Classic all-star at Louisville's Freedom Hall on April 20.

Sutton took his first official visit last weekend, to Boston College, and is trying to schedule trips to Villanova and Seton Hall.

As for Kentucky, Sutton said he participated in a camp there last spring and expected a scholarship offer. He does not have a timetable for making his choice. "Whenever it feels right," he said. "I really do like Kentucky though. Boston College was real nice, too."

Sutton was on the way to the airport today to travel to San Antonio for the Final Four. It is the third time he and his father have made the trip, but "the next time I go to the Final Four, I'll be playing in it, hopefully," Sutton siad.
