Top Prospect Chooses Memphis

Derrick Rose is going for the NBA, but Memphis started landing replacements on Wednesday, nabbing Philadelphia guard Tyreke Evans. Evans said he picked the Tigers over hometown school Villanova.

Make of it what you will: Evans's signing was the lead story on the Web site of the Memphis Commercial-Appeal, but buried on the preps page on philly.com.
