23 Locals Already Committed
School is not even out, but by my count, 23 local rising seniors have made verbal commitments to accept college football scholarships. Of note, seven have committed to Penn State, five to Virginia (all from Virginia high schools), three to Wake Forest and just one to Virginia Tech and Maryland, though the Terrapins did pick up wide receiver Eric Franklin from Baltimore's Archbishop Curley.
The list so far, if I'm missing anyone, let me know:

Virginia (5): OL Luke Bowanko, Centreville; DB Corey Lillard, Liberty; LB Connor McCartin, Fauquier; QB Ross Metheny, Sherando, RB Dominique Wallace, Chancellor
