More On Clarke/Ohio State

Caught up with Tuscarora Coach Shawn Carey earlier this week to discuss cornerback Dominic Clarke's commitment to Ohio State last weekend.

Carey said that Clarke also had offers from Maryland, Virginia, Stanford, Duke, Vanderbilt, Boston College and Richmond. If that list makes it sound like Clarke is a good student, well, he is. "He has a 3.6 GPA, unweighted," Carey said.

Clarke has only played one season on the varsity, but he also excels is track.

"The thing about him is he's a hard worker and he's a nice kid," Carey said. "He's probably one of the strongest kids we have in the weight room. He benches 305, squats 475 and cleans 275. And he's got a 36-inch vertical. He just works hard in the weight room. His best 40 time is a 4.3."
