Another DeMatha Player Commits; Top 100 Sophs

Headed for vacation, but here are a few items of note:

DeMatha linebacker Raheem Cardwell has committed to play for Syracuse.

MaxPreps is out with its list of the nation's top 100 rising sophomore football players. Damascus safety-wide receiver Brandon Phelps - who started both ways last season - cracks the list, as do Dominion running back Deandre Reaves and Manassas Park quarterback Dominique Terrell. I'd take a guess that you'll see several other local sophomores start to make their mark this season.

What about Arnett? The post last week said he might decide today.
