Forest Park's Jackson picks GW
Correspondent Matthew Stanmyre has another scoop out of Prince William County:
Forest Park senior guard Danni Jackson, a second-team All-Met girls' basketball player, orally committed to George Washington on Tuesday night, choosing the Colonials over Wake Forest.
Jackson took an official visit to George Washington this past weekend, and made her decision two days later.
"It just felt right when she went there," Forest Park Coach Rebecca Tillett said.
Jackson, a 5-foot-3 point guard, led Forest Park to the Virginia AAA Northwest Region title and the AAA finals last year. She was the region player of the year and a first-team all-state selection.
Also Tuesday, Jackson's teammate Gerda Gatling, a senior forward, verbally committed to play for Stony Brook (N.Y.).

I am happy to see that Danni Jackson will sign with GW - and did not even consider the University of Maryland
10 % graduation rate for Maryland Basketball - nice job, Gary Williams (he said with a heavy dose of sarcasm !)
I can't believe that Debbie Yow, has not fired Gary Williams.
There is no way, that a parent should ever send their son to the University of Maryland to play basketball.
Maryland will finish with a 15-16 record and 4-12 in the ACC.
No NCAA bid
No NIT bid
I am glad that Maryland football, is no longer recruiting Tavon Austin.
Go Tar Heels !
