Small Forward Picks Navy
Big Boss Man Dan Uthman forwards this email from the folks at St. John's (Md.):
Troy King, a senior at Saint John's (Md.), has verbally committed to Coach Billy Lange and the Naval Academy to continue his education and basketball career. During the 2007-2008 season, the 6-foot-7 small forward from Damascus averaged 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and shot 44.6% from 3-point range. Troy also considered scholarship offers from Saint Francis (Pa.), Radford , and other America East, Northeast Conference, and Colonial Athletic Association institutions.

Looks like some of the Tar Heel recruiting allegations maybe valid. Heels could lose scholarships or get the "death sentence." The issue is really being kept close hold.

The King kid can flat out shoot the ball for his size. I saw him play on 3 occassions during the season and this summer. Navy is an unbelievable opportunity. King should have a great year this season in the BCL. Not sure many know that St Johns in Frederick may have the best young talent in the area.

I am happy to see that Troy King chose Navy, and did not even consider Maryland
