Terps Land Big Forward from Connecticut
Is this a big pickup for Maryland? The Terps yesterday landed a commitment from Connecticut power forward Jordan Williams. Homestate U-Conn. Had not offered Williams, but plenty of other top teams had and he said he picked Maryland over St. John's.

Only time will tell. It's nice to see Gary hitting the recruiting trail and getting a player he was really targeting. The roster for the next 4 years is starting to shape up and look good. One more athletic big man would be great.

10 % graduation rate for Maryland Basketball - nice job, Gary Williams (he said with a heavy dose of sarcasm !)
I can't believe that Debbie Yow, has not fired Gary Williams.
There is no way, that a parent should ever send their son to the University of Maryland to play basketball.
Maryland will finish with a 15-16 record and 4-12 in the ACC.
No NCAA bid
No NIT bid
I am glad that Maryland football, is no longer recruiting Tavon Austin.
Go Tar Heels !

He should have accepted an offer from TEMPLE or VANILLANOVA with all the FICKLE FANZ from PHILLY....

WHY do readers of Recruiting Insider continually have to go back and RE-READ or RESEARCH Barr's articles to find out details about the athletes he writes about?
When we read about a BASKETBALL recruit, at a minimum, we wanna know his height, weight, points/rebounds/assist/steals per game. And we DON'T wanna have to click link after link to find out this basic information...
C'MON, Josh!

Good news on recruiting.
As a reminder for those of you with early senility memory problems coupled with I.Q.s substantially lower than normal body temperature, MARYLAND won a NCAA Championship with Gary Williams as coach.
I've watched the TERPS since Bud Millikan was coaching.
Lefty was first class.
Gary IS first class.

I am glad that Jordan Williams chose the University of Maryland - and did not even consider attending the University of North Carolina.
Go Terps!
