Tuberville Looks to Keep Cotton Solid

Colleague Katie Carrera has this update on Meade quarterback Ray Cotton, who previously committed to Auburn but might be rethinking things after the Tigers canned offensive coordinator Tony Franklin.

Raymond Cotton Sr. said that Auburn Coach Tommy Tuberville and members of the Tigers staff are visiting the Cotton family this weekend during Auburn's off week. Ray will wait to make his decision to either maintain his Auburn commitment or reopen his recruiting until after their trip, his father said.

The Auburn coaches will also attend Meade's game at Southern High on Friday to watch their star recruit. Ray has thrown for 1,426 yards and 18 touchdowns (105 of 185) in six games this season.

"We're going to meet with Coach Tuberville and the staff before and after the game and just see what happens," Cotton Sr. said. "He has a list of questions that he wants answered and I have my list. Once we find out those answers then he'll make his decision."

Brother Cotton,
Can't you see the great opening that Auburn has for a star QB. Auburn is in great NEED.

Just like the stock market, invest when the market is low so the investment makes money subsequently. Auburn, its name and schedule may be what a very good QB needs.

Auburn is a great school if you like chicks with brown teeth and an unusually high number of recessive genes.

It's also a great place to play football if you enjoy having Rolando McClain's helmet remodel your thoracic cavity.

If you like winning championships or playing for the best head coach in football you should like about 150 miles NW.

Ray, if you can't tell, Auburn NEEDS you! You would have more than an excellent chance to start next year. This could easliy be your team. You could be "the man" because no one on the roster has come close to proving that they should be the starting QB. Come to Auburn, follow in Jason Campbell's footsteps and break his records! No doubt in my mind that you can do it!

Oh yeah.....GO Campbell and GO SKINS!

Hey Ray, we'll pay you $200K if you sign with BAMA. Just ask Albert Means.
