Cosh Expected to Return to Arundel
Chris Cosh might be leaving Maryland to coach at Kansas State, but his son, Arundel record-setting quarterback Billy Cosh, should return for his senior year with the Widcats, Arundel Coach Chuck Markiewicz said. Markiewicz said the topic came up during a recent discussion at his house.
Chris Cosh "told us if he's not at Maryland for Billy's senior year then Billy will stay at Arundel, but that could change, you don't know," Markiewicz said tonight before leaving his home for the Maryland 4A final between Linganore and Sherwood in Baltimore. "We've talked to him about that and he indicated that Billy wasn't going anywhere."
Markiewicz was unaware that Chris Cosh had decided to leave his position as Maryland's defensive coordinator to return to K-State, where he previously worked for Snyder.
Amoth other highlights, in his first season as a starter Billy Cosh passed for a state single-season record 3,591 yards and 51 touchdowns and set a single-game record with 477 yards passing, thriving in Arundel's no-huddle spread offense.
Markiewicz said that new Kansas State Coach Bill Snyder during the fall requested video tapes of Billy Cosh.
