DeMatha Update; Terps, Cavs Offer DE Mathis
A quick update from DeMatha Coach Bill McGregor:
Offensive lineman Calvin McDowney, whose massive weight loss was chronicled before the season, "is hot," according to McGregor. "He has New Mexico and Hampton and North Carolina A&T. His mother called me and said she was nervous, she didn't know what to say to these coaches. I told her just to talk to them the same way she was talking to me."
Defensive end Jeremiah Mathis, a second-team All-Met, also has picked up more scholarship offers, with Kansas State, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina State all in the mix.

Jeremiah Mathis should choose Kansas State - there is no way that he will end up at Maryland
Prediction:
Nevada -- 37
Maryland -- 10
Maryland will finish with a 2-10 record in 2009.
I am happy to see that Maryland is no longer recruiting Tavon Austin - Tavon will be signing with the Tar Heels.
Jelani Jenkins will look great in a Florida Gator uniform.
Go Tar Heels !
