Making an Impact South of the Border
Just got off the line with St. John's (Md.) Coach Silas Cheung, whose team features sophomore Grandy Glaze, a 6-6, 220-pound sophomore from outside Toronto. Carroll Coach Clinton Perrow, whose team is relying on four new foreign players (three Canadians), couldn't stop raving about Glaze, who led the Vikings to a 60-45 victory over Carroll last week.
Cheung said that Glaze is already hearing from the likes of Georgetown, West Virginia, N.C. State, Florida and UNLV, among others.
"He is an animal," Perrow said. "His motor just keeps going. I haven't seen a kid play like that in high school. He's a madman out there. I had read about him and seen a couple clips, but it doesn't do any justice. He's huge. For a sophomore, he is a monster."
