Jenkins Draws a National Champion to Olney
What's new with All-Met Defensive Player of the Year Jelani Jenkins?
The Good Counsel linebacker took his official visit to Penn State this past weekend and plans to announce his college choice on Feb. 4, the first day of the National Letter-of-Intent signing period.
Jenkins has drawn plenty of suitors to Good Counsel's Olney campus, the latest being Florida Coach Urban Meyer, who visited the school on Tuesday.
"He's the top guy in the country," Good Counsel assistant coach Kevin McFadden said. "Everybody and their grandma has been here to see him."
Jenkins' only other official visit was to Florida last month. He also is considering Notre Dame, Southern Cal and Stanford.

I am extremely - extremely happy that Jelani Jenkins is not even considering Maryland.
Jelani would look great in a Florida or Penn State uniform.
Maryland will finish with a 2-10 record in 2009.
Go Tar Heels !
