Seneca Valley Standout Chooses MAC
Seneca Valley Coach Fred Kim reports that free safety Xavier Hughes has committed to play for Ohio.
The Screaming Eagles have a handful of other players yet to firm up their college plans. Kim said that cornerback Joe Rankin has an offer from Army, an official visit set to Division II California (Pa.) and is waiting to hear from other schools. Defensive end Kenton Powell is close to settling on Massachusetts.
Offensive lineman Cody Walko, wide receiver Mark Henderson, wide receiver King Yassara and defensive lineman Russell Main also are undecided. Meantime, Kim expects defensive back Keon Hester (Temple) and linebacker Ryan Phillips (William & Mary) to accept preferred walk-on slots.
