Spotlight on Georgetown Recruit

Today's Recruiting Spotlight takes a look at Georgetown Prep junior guard Markel Starks, who already has committed to play for Georgetown. Starks always has been talented and now he's adding poise and maturity to his game.

He is going to be the area's MVP, and a McDonald All-American by the time he is a senior. In college, he will make the Big Hoyas a national contender. Welcome to the Hoya family. Just remain focused and listen to Coach Bryant's advice. He knows a great deal about coaching and about turning boys into men.

Maryland goes down to another crushing defeat on the recruiting trail !

I am glad that Starks chose Georgetown - and did not even consider Maryland.

Maryland will finish with a 15-16 record and 3-13 in the ACC

No NCAA bid

NO NIT bid
