Dunbar Junior Holds U-Md., WVU, Pitt Offers
Colleague Alan Goldenbach passes along this info:
Dunbar Coach Craig Jefferies, who turns out plenty of top players, reports the first member of his junior class is beginning to get some serious attention. Javarie Johnson, who projects as either an outside linebacker or a speed-rush defensive end, has picked up offers from Maryland, West Virginia and Pittsburgh, with Penn State's offer on its way, according to Jefferies.
The 6-foot-2 Jackson is a terrific athlete. In the offseason, Johnson is on Dunbar's track team, running the 55 meters and the 800-meter relay, and also competes in the long and triple jumps.
