Terps Hot on Trail at DeMatha
Spoke to DeMatha Coach Bill McGregor, who reports that Maryland has offered scholarships to three of his players: running back Marcus Coker (6-1, 225), OT Ari Kouandjio (6-5, 300) and DB Michael Coley (6-0, 195).
"What happened was we got our highlight DVDs done and I took two of them up there last week and they offered Coker and Ari," McGregor said. "I took up film of four more yesterday and they offered Coley and they're looking at the others right now."
McGregor said it is the first scholarship offer for each player.
Update: McGregor reports that Maryland has offered a fourth DeMatha junior, safety Lorenzo Waters (6-1, 197).

Ummmmmmm..........where have you been??? Unlike Gary, Ralph has HEAVILY recruited locally since the day he became coach. This is nothing new or surprising.

All of these DeMatha players will end up signing with North Carolina.
Maryland will finish with a 2-10 record in 2009.
Carolina Blue - Carolina WHITE - Go Tar Heels - Let's go Tar Heels.

Assistant BB Coach Keith Booth:
How is it that he has managed to not get UMD Baltimore kids? How about simply getting Dunbar players?
Anyone else bothered by this?

RedskinRay,
You are aware we got the Baltimore 4-time all-city and PoTY in Sean Moseley, correct, and Dupree and Dino Gregory who has been great? You can just read the Terp roster, the names are right on there.
Please, just a SMALL AMOUNT of research before throwing Booth under the bus. I am most bothered by your total lack of knowledge on the subject, not Keith Booth.
