Locals Shine in Return to D.C.
Spent Saturday night at the Reebok All-American Game at American U., where the theme of the night was former local stars returning to play at home. Kansas recruit Thomas Robinson, who played at Eastern and Riverdale Baptist before heading to a New England prep school for his senior year, was impressive and his 6-8 muscular frame should help the adjustment to the Big 12 - where he'll face former Carroll All-Met Rodney McGruder, whose game should translate well to college. One-time Oxon Hill standout Maurice Creek also played well.
While more attention certainly was paid to the Jordan Brand Classic in New York, you have to think Reebok is pleased with its inaugural game, which seemed to go off without a hitch.
