Updating Some Transfers
Prolific guard Josh Selby, a junior who has committed to play for Tennessee, has transferred from DeMatha to Maryland 3A champion Lake Clifton of Baltimore. The move is not terribly surprising, given that Selby was suspended for the season's last two months for a violation of team rules, but I wonder if that is Selby's final destination. The general feeling in the basketball community is that Selby would be best off at a private school that could provide the attention necessary to make sure he meets the NCAA's academic standards for freshman eligibility.
Former Good Counsel standout Jordan Clarke is transferring out of Vermont. He averaged 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in seven minutes per games as a freshman this past season.
