Vinson Has St. Frances in Front, Still Undecided
St. Frances fell behind 14-2 early on, but took its first lead, 25-24, on a Terrell Vinson dunk and leads 29-24 at halftime. Vinson had all 14 of his points in the second quarter.
Vinson, an All-Met last year at Montrose Christian, is looking for a new college after Loyola Marymount fired Bill Bayno during the season. Vinson said he has an official visit scheduled with Massachusetts and is trying to set up one with Maryland.
"Keith Booth called me Saturday and he was telling me about the situation with Gary Williams and how he wasn't going anywhere and their recruiting situation," Vinson said.
Vinson said that Louisville also had recently inquired about his status but does not currently have any scholarships available. "They are waiting to see what happens with their players," Vinson said. "I've got until May 15, the main thing is to get visits."
