Hokies Offer Loudoun Standout
Loudoun County linebacker Chase Williams had plenty of interest from schools across the country, now one of the schools in his backyard has offered a scholarship. Colleague Paul Tenorio reports that Virginia Tech is the 10th school to offer Williams, joining Miami (Fla.), West Virginia, New Mexico State, Southern Methodist, Marshall, Rice and Tulane.

This was actually Williams' 8th offer not 10th. WVU, Rice, SMU, Tulane, Marshall, New Mexico State, Miami(FL), and now VT.

Williams will be selecting West Virginia.
I am overjoyed that he never considered Maryland.
Maryland will finish with a 2-10 record in 2009.
