Purdue Joins the List for Battlefield Quarterback
Spoke earlier this week with Battlefield Coach Mark Cox, who reports that rising senior quarterback Bo Revell is getting plenty of attention from college recruiters but has yet to receive a scholarship offer.
"He's gotten a lot of interest," Cox said of the 6-6, 230-pound Revell. "He's got a busy senior camp schedule with a lot of places. ... He's going to William & Mary, he's going to Purdue, he's already been to Duke. I can't remember them all."
Cox said that Revell is being recruited by "pretty much any school that is not a spread offense, more conventional quarterback. West Virginia and the ones that run the spread stuff, they haven't been interested. Local schools like Maryland, Virginia, [North] Carolina, N.C. State. [Virginia] Tech doesn't use that kind of quarterback. And he's also got Princeton and the Ivy League schools [interested]. He's got a long list but no offers because they want to see some tape and see some games this year. It helps when you're 6-6, 230 and growing. That's pretty good to start with."
Cox adds that free safety-wide receiver Blaine Mason, who is 5-11 and 185 pounds, will camp at Virginia Tech and has already been to Duke, Liberty and Richmond, with James Madison and William & Mary also showing interest."
