With Floyd Out, Recruits Will Scatter
You have to wonder why Tim Floyd picked yesterday to resign as USC's coach. With the start of the summer recruiting period coming up and the recruiting class of 2009 pretty much set on where they're heading, all of a sudden things are in limbo. It will be interesting to see where the Trojans' current recruits - including one-time Virginia Tech commitment Lamont "MoMo" Jones of Oak Hill Academy - wind up.

Speaking of Momo Jones, something tells me that the NCAA may take a particular interest in the circumstances surrounding his recruitment by U$C. It's now common knowledge that Jones' mother wanted certain "benefits" in exchange for her signature on her son's LOI. Seth Greenberg and VT, to their credit, wouldn't ante up. Tim Floyd was only too happy to do so. The guy's a scumbag.
I just hope that the NCAA doesn't let U$C off the hook now that Floyd's gone. They've cheated for a long time now and gotten away with it. The NCAA really needs to lower the boom on them.
