H.D. Woodson's Hunter Lands at WVU

The Insider's namesake is away, but still other Insiders have their say. This, from Man About D.C. Alan Goldenbach...

H.D. Woodson wide receiver Jerrard Hunter, who was all set to spend the upcoming season at Hargrave Miltary Academy, found his way to West Virginia last week.
Woodson assistant Larry Williams called to say that Hunter earned a qualifying score on West Virginia's placement exam last Thursday. Williams said that Hunter had been in touch with the school for much of the year, but his initial eligibility proved to be the last hurdle.
A day after receiving the okay from Mountaineers, the 6-foot-3 Hunter left for Morgantown.

Maryland will finish with a 2-10 record.

Maryland's defensive line and linebacker corps are a joke --- no pass rush whatsoever and give up a ton of long yardage plays.

I have seen harder hitting teams in powder puff leagues.

The only hard hits the Terps make - are out of bound plays - which cost them an additional 15 yards - which are quite frequent.

California's running back - Best - will gain 296 yards in the opening game

I love it, when Maryland constantly gets embarrassed on national TV.

California -- 56
Maryland -- 10

It's hilarious to see Maryland win a game - and the very next week get clobbered by a Virginia Tech - Boston College.

It is great to see Maryland go down to a crushing defeat on recruiting front (the kids they have received commitments from - are a joke! - taking the bottom of the barrel)

Carolina Blue - Carolina WHITE - Go Tar Heels - Let's go Tar Heels !

hclark1 is again violating the posting standards by his personal attacks against the kids who committed to UMD. ban this fool once and for all. and hclark1, last year you said the same thing and Best was held to 30 yards, maryland beat california and finished 8-5, not your 2-10 prediction. get a life.
