South County DB Picks Vanderbilt

Colleague B.J. Koubaroulis has the news that South County defensive back Andre Simmons on Friday afternoon committed to play for Vanderbilt.

The decision is another step in showing that schools from all over are scouring the Washington area for football players. When I was reporting that story, Dunbar Coach Craig Jefferies told me of Vanderbilt assistant Jamie Bryant's efforts in the area. Guess they are starting to pay off.
