Coleman narrows choices, will take three visits
Bishop McNamara standout wide receiver and safety Brandon Coleman has narrowed his choices to three schools and will take his first official visit this weekend.
Coleman, who is 6 feet 7, will travel to Rutgers this weekend. Maryland is next on the itinerary the following weekend, with Syracuse on schedule for Jan. 15.
Of the other two schools he had been considering, Coleman said that Virginia Tech received verbal commitments from other players and does not have a scholarship remaining for him and that things had just slowed down with Virginia.
Of Maryland, Coleman said was unconcerned with Coach Ralph Friedgen's status and the uproar the past few weeks about whether Friedgen would be back next year.
"I talked to him [Tuesday] and he said everything was cool and he's excited about what is going on," Coleman said. "That's business, I guess."
