Tabannah Picks New Mexico
Just got an email from Potomac Coach Chris Davidson, who reports that defensive back Devonta Tabannah has committed to play for New Mexico.
Tabannah, who is 5 feet 11 and 175 pounds, played all over the field this past season for the Wolverines, lining up at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and defensive back. He missed a few games late in the year with a knee injury, but finished with 639 yards passing and 323 yards rushing.
"It's official, he was sporting his New Mexico windbreaker this morning," Davidson said. "He likes the long plane ride, I guess. He said he really enjoyed it and the staff made him feel comfortable. I hope he has a chance to go out there, bulk up a little bit and play at a high level."
It had been a busy two weeks for Tabannah. He took an official visit to Kent State the weekend of Dec. 5, took one to Towson during the week and then flew to Albuquerque for his offcial visit this past weekend.
